Requesting Annotate Feature with Zoom and Teams to mark up shared content

Hello,
I recently reached out through the chat messenger on your website for assistance with a feature I was hoping to use on the Vibe Board.
My company has a Vibe Board installed in our main office. I work onsite at a construction project four days a week and am only in the office one day, so we frequently rely on Zoom or Microsoft Teams meetings to collaborate remotely - especially when reviewing drawings and plans.
What I hoped to do was share content from my laptop (e.g., a floor plan) during a virtual meeting, and have the team in the office view it on the Vibe Board and annotate directly on that shared content in real time. While annotation features are available through Zoom and Teams on laptops, I was surprised to find that this functionality doesn’t extend to the Vibe Board—despite it being promoted as a tool for “real-time collaboration.”
Is there a known workaround or solution your team can recommend to enable this type of interactive collaboration using the Vibe Board?
Thank you for your help!
Best regards,
Yinan Xu
Hi Robbie,
Thank you for reaching out and for your detailed explanation of your collaboration needs. I’m happy to clarify the options available to you.
For Zoom meetings, you can use real-time annotation in Zoom meetings by:
- Sharing your screen from your laptop
- Using Zoom's annotation tools on the Vibe Board
Tip: Click the the bottom-left corner to show/hide the annotation menu.
And for Teams meeting, due to current web-app limitations, Teams doesn’t support in-app annotation tool.
I also recommend using Vibe Canvas for remote collaboration - you can import your images or files into Canvas, and your colleagues in the office can join the same Canvas to collaborate together. Please refer to this article for details: https://vibe.how/en/articles/8870102-best-practice-present-with-canvas
We truly appreciate your feedback - it helps us improve. Let me know how else we can assist!
Best regards,
Yinan Xu, Vibe Product Team

I would like to request this feature to be added if it is possible to do so. I think many collaborators in the design and construction field would appreciate this functionality. Thank you,

Our office was expecting this type of collaboration to be supported as well. It's how we use zoom on a daily basis on our computers - being able to annotate a screen share is the only reason we pay for zoom, and something we assumed would work with the vibe. We have used the canvas tool though that takes some amount of prep / time to do and takes away the utility of an immediate screen share and being able to jump around to different types of content. We've also tried using a small pc connected to the vibe board with touch input turned on so we could use the PC's native zoom client and regain the native zoom annotation tools. while we are able to get it to work, it's clunky and requires many steps and makes the board much harder to use / setup for a meeting. Always seemed like there was an issue so we stopped using it.
I understand that both the zoom and teams clients are not directly controlled by vibe. I've also contacted zoom directly on this matter, but expect that representatives from vibe would have more luck having their voices heard, and conveying how important these features are to a large group of their customers. The vibe is being marketed very actively to AEC professionals and I can't say how much I agree that the lack of this functionality is a huge issue and one of the main use cases which we thought the board supported when we purchased it.
